Andrew I. Chung is a seasoned trial attorney with nearly two decades of litigation experience spanning both plaintiff and defense work. At ACTS LAW, Andrew represents clients in complex cases involving childhood sexual abuse, catastrophic personal injury, and employment disputes. His broad background and proven track record in high-stakes litigation give him a unique ability to strategize and advocate effectively from every angle of a case.
Before joining ACTS LAW, Andrew spent years managing a significant caseload as lead counsel on over 100 matters involving trauma, abuse, and serious injury. He is known for guiding his clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives with empathy, clarity, and tenacity, qualities that consistently lead to favorable outcomes. Earlier in his career, Andrew defended Fortune 500 companies and public entities in employment, tort, and wrongful death cases. As a former shareholder at a prominent defense firm, he gained deep insight into the strategies used by insurance carriers and large institutions, experience he now leverages to fight for injured individuals and survivors seeking justice.
Andrew has achieved notable success both in trial and appellate courts. His courtroom accomplishments include securing a defense verdict in a jury trial for a major corporate client and prevailing in multiple bench trials. He served as lead attorney in the published appellate decision Kanovsky v. At Your Door Self Storage (2019) 42 Cal.App.5th 594 and successfully argued for reversal in Oak View Little League, Inc. v. Ojai Valley Baseball League.
A fluent Korean speaker and first-generation Korean American, Andrew is dedicated to expanding access to justice in underserved communities. He regularly volunteers with pro bono legal clinics, the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. He is also active in alumni networks for UC Berkeley and Loyola Law School and has served as a mentor within the Korean American Bar Association. Andrew earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he received a Public Interest Scholarship. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He is admitted to practice in all California state and federal courts.
