Danny Abir is the Managing Partner of ACTS LAW, one of the largest plaintiffs only litigation practices in California. After co-founding the firm in 2016, Danny has played a pivotal role in its remarkable growth. Under his leadership, ACTS LAW has expanded to comprise of a firm of over 100 dedicated lawyers and staff, and has achieved an impressive record of over $1 billion in recoveries for clients. Danny Abir is actively involved in all key aspects of the firm. He has been a speaker at a number of conferences, including but not limited to CAALA, Law-Di-Gras, CAOC, and Justice HQ. His written work has appeared in a number of publications, including The Advocate, The Daily Journal, Super Lawyers, KABC, Stanford Journal of International Law, Boalt Hall Journal of International Tax and Business Law and The Los Angeles Times.
Danny serves on the board of multiple professional organizations, including on the board of governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California and as 2024 Treasurer/2028 President for the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He also is a member of the American Association of Justice. In addition to his law degree holds Master of Law (LL.M.) degrees from Georgetown University Law Center and the New York University School of Law in International Law and Taxation.

Along with his extensive involvement in curating the firm’s business success, Danny has played a pivotal role in several of the firm’s landmark cases. His notable contributions include representing the family in a high-profile officer-involved wrongful death case in Las Vegas alongside Boris Treyzon, handling significant mass tort cases against pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers of defective home appliances, advocating for victims of fraudulent asset transfers leading to multimillion-dollar verdicts, and representing vendors in high-stakes judgments against a celebrity entertainer.
His foresight and adaptability were particularly evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. Danny’s strategic planning enabled a seamless transition to virtual operations to ensure minimal disruption. He maintained the firm’s strong community spirit through virtual events and continued supporting flexible business practices with vendors.
Danny serves in multiple professional organizations, including on the board of governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. These organizations focus on consumers’ rights and promoting more collegial relations between plaintiffs’ attorneys and defense attorneys. He also is a member of the American Association of Justice. Prior to his legal practice, he gained valuable experience at prominent accounting firms Deloitte and Touche, and KPMG. His academic credentials are also extensive, including a law degree from Whittier University and Master of Law (LL.M.) degrees in International Law and Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and the New York University School of Law, respectively.
While studying and working, Danny contributed significantly to law reviews by writing substantive articles. He authored the article “Suing A Foreign Government: A Note on Siderman v. The Republic of Argentina” for the Whittier Law School Law Review. His work “Monopoly & Merger Regulation in South Korea and Japan: A Comparative Analysis” was featured in the Boalt Hall Journal of International Tax and Business Law. Additionally, his influential piece, “F.S.I.A: The Right to a Jury Trial in Suits Against Foreign Government Owned Corporations,” was published by the Stanford Journal of International Law.
