This week, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) announced it has revised its use of force policy to limit the use of neck restraints. A wrongful death lawsuit is pending, seeking justice for Tashii Farmer (a.k.a. Tashii Brown), an unarmed black man who was killed by an LVMPD officer as a result of a lethal neck restraint applied.
ACTS LAW is representing Tashii’s family in the civil lawsuit. Attorney Boris Treyzon appeared on Fox 5 News last evening to comment on the case and the LVMPD’s change in their use of force policy: https://www.fox5vegas.com/news/las-vegas-police-change-use-of-force-policy-to-limit-neck-restraints/article_f30a5a84-c16b-11ea-b320-479ed31f3a2a.html
