$5.5 Million Settlement

Our clients were faculty at a University and sued the school for wrongful termination and harassment after they brought to light complaints of sexual harassment and Title IX violations by one of the university’s board members. Clients were accomplished and respected professionals. They were directed to ignore certain rules, one of them being the school’s non-compliance with Title IX. They were threatened in multiple ways, had their religious rights violated, and were placed on leave and ultimately terminated. ACTS LAW partner Boris Treyzon and attorney Gina Esfandi obtained a $5.5 million settlement on behalf of the clients.
