We are pleased to announce that our firm obtained a $5.75 million dollar settlement for a newlywed couple against a closed-street bicycle and pedestrian event organizer. Our client was involved in a bicycle v. bicycle collision that was caused by the negligence of the event organizers. She suffered a moderate traumatic brain injury with partial facial paralysis. Her husband, who was first to render aid, made a loss of consortium claim. This settlement, which was obtained after an almost four-year battle, validates our clients’ claims that this could have been easily prevented and sends a message to the organizers to do better because our community deserves better.
