Los Angeles, CA – ACTS Law attorneys Boris Treyzon, Doug Rochen and Evan Koncan obtained a seven-figure settlement in a confidential product defect case that was on the verge of a jury verdict.
The initial complaint was filed on behalf of a woman who suffered injuries while using a friend’s device in the way it was intended to be used. The product abruptly malfunctioned in her hands causing severe nerve damage and laceration injuries.
The product has caused widespread concern over manufacturing defects, leading several individuals to become severely injured.
According to the complaint, the company was held responsible for negligence, manufacturing defects, design defects and breach of implied warranty that caused both financial injury and risk of personal injury to customers.
The resulting damage led to several other lawsuits which also allege similar injuries caused by the product as well as lawsuits which allege burn injuries.
According to the complaint, the company has failed to issue warnings, change the defective design or recall its known problematic products – ignoring the safety concerns for the millions of users.
