ACTS LAW Lawyers Selected to 2021 Rising Stars List

ACTS LAW is pleased to announce that several of its lawyers have been selected for the 2021 California Rising Stars list. The lawyers have been named for their contributions to various practice areas. Those selected are David S. Bederman, Joseph R. Finnerty, and Michael Harutunian.

Rising Stars, which is affiliated with Super Lawyers, selects lawyers from across the United States in 70 different practice areas. The selection is the result of a long and involved multi-phase process that begins with nominations by other lawyers in the field. After a rigorous review of the candidates, Rising Stars selects the lawyers based on their personal and professional background. The goal of Rising Stars is to provide the public and other lawyers with a comprehensive and credible list they can use as a resource. The process is identical to that of the selection process for Super Lawyers. The only difference is Rising Stars candidates must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

It is the second year in a row that David has been selected to Rising Stars for his work in insurance law. He is admitted to practice law in California, and his practice areas include business litigation, insurance bad faith, intellectual property enforcement, civil rights, and catastrophic personal injury. He earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif. He is a board member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ).

Justin has been named a Rising Star every year since 2018 for his work in personal injury law. He is admitted to practice law in California. and his practice areas include catastrophic personal injury, products liability, and property claim disputes. He earned his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law.

For Joseph, he has been selected to the Rising Stars list every consecutive year since 2019 for his work as a personal injury lawyer. He is admitted to practice law in California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His practice areas are toxic torts, personal injury, wrongful death, class action, civil rights, mass torts, and aviation law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law and is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC).

Michael was named to Rising Stars in 2019 and has consistently been named to the list because of his work in insurance law. He is admitted to practice law in California, the Central District Court, the Eastern District Court, and the Northern District Court. Michael’s practice areas focus on insurance, specifically in insurance bad faith and insurance law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School.
